Proposal for a re-styling of building’s facades of ‘Taichung Transportation Tower’. Considered the future landmark of the City, the project deals with the concept of conceiving in contemporary architecture typical and traditional elements of Chinese architecture. Clouds as found on vases and into the Oriental traditional Art, as into details in temples’ architecture, have been reinterpreted.
On the double skin façade, they are reproduced in several dimensions from 14 to 20 meters in height. Clouds will be visible from far away, determining an unusual light façade, full of poetry.
As counterpoint, the copper skin of the building’s first levels, defines horizontality.
